Hello community,

Bernd Bitnar and me are going to build two pieces of the well known FLECHAS Echelle designed by our CAOS friends.

It is a fiber-coupled stand-alone spectrograph for med resolution. We choose the version w/ a prism as the X-disperser.

We will order the optical and mechanical parts by end of July. Cost estimates (thanks to Ingo Küttner) are:
- mechanical parts (will be made probably by a company in Saxony): 2800 €
- optical parts (Thorlabs, Edmunds,...): 4100€
Of course, and keep in mind, a calibration source like ThAr as well as a large enough CCD is needed in addition.

We offer this activity to the community: If someone of you want to join we can try to deal w/ the suppliers. The more the better
