Hello ConVento Afficionados! The group online infrastructure is now completely established. The website (www.stsci.de/convento) already including the draft for the new STRESS program for the STEREO satellite is online (thank you Ian), we have some new colleagues on board (welcome together again), including new observatories in Australia and France (a quick reaction on my announcement in the French amateur group), and the forum/mailing list is working fine (thank you Lothar). That means we are running! It is now to everybody to contribute new ideas and/or new campaigns / targets /physics. Lothar already offered additional observations for our MONS Oe and B targets. That’s a good idea and Thierry and Gregor as the respective leads should think about it. Andy presently checks if we could get server space at ESA / Madrid. In parallel Tony and me work on an introduction and invitation letter for the photometrists all over the world to join our group. I will present it as soon as it is finished. Lothar, please make a respective announcement in the Swiss spectroscopy group and invite the users to participate. If you have questions / suggestions for the discussion forum, please send them to Lothar Schanne. For website input please contact me. Best regards and cheers. Thomas |

At the OHP I made the contacts that took Thierry Garrel, and I hope, some more french colleagues into ConVento. One issue with the french group is the ARAS group, that is established for a long time. I told the group that CinVento is not competin g with ARAS, because ConVento is dedicated to long-term campaigns. Another urgent issue is the migration of the group into an independent server. On my way to the OHP, I met by chance Andrew Pollock, that told me ESA was deciding if they accepted us in their server. OK, that's all for now, I'll keep in touch with the french group, a long-term campaign is on the go, on the del Sco periastron in 2011. Cheers, Jose Zitat: ----- Original Message -----

With the risk of being an Erbsenzaehler (nit-picker), you might want to review a bit of your elementary English grammar in your latest email (below): The subjective case is "I", not "me". It's the same as German, BTW. Or would you also perhaps write: "TM und mich haben .... geschrieben...."? Now, to test that you've actually learned the rule, please tell me which of the following is correct: Ann loves I. Ann loves me. Ann loves he. (Only one answer is correct!) So, which is it? You have one hour to answer. T Zitat: ----- Original Message -----
