The RSpec dat file for spectrum profiles is not currently compatible with Visual Spec if the wavelength calibration is non linear. This is because the wavelength bins produced by RSpec are not equal in wavelength as required by Visual Spec. (Visual Spec will display the spectrum but the wavlengths are not correct. Rlhires, now ISIS displays the Rspec profile correctly but saves it as a fits file with an incorrect calibration) Robin |

Hi Robin, This problem is known and there is a Beta version which has solved this problem. Tom took care of it. I detected that problem a few weeks ago and spoke with Tom in this regard as well as with Valerie via private e-mails. Now that you mention it I just like to bend this straight and as already written before the problem is solved ... |

Hi, I just read somewhere else that there is already in the lates version ...39 a feature where you can export linear *.dat files which are redable by Vspec. |
