Hi all! New spectacular results about the bright O supergiant zeta Puppis are now published at arxiv: https://arxiv.org/pdf/1710.08414.pdf Note that the paper contains observations of the SASER amateurs in the south. The overall understanding of bright spots on the stellar surface and their influence on the global wind was only possible with their extraordinary contribution. Another great example about what is possible with amateur equipment and dedication. Cheers, Thomas |
