Unter der Annahme einer Temeratur von 30 K und einer Expansionsgeschwindigkeit von 700 m/s Q(CO) 4.7 x 10**28 molecules/s Q(HCN) < 3.6 x 10**25 molecules/s r = 2.9 AU , Delta = 2.1 AU. |

Hallo Uwe, wo hast Du diese Werte her? Hast Du sie aus Beobachtungen selbst abgeleitet? Anlaß meiner Frage ist eine aktuelle Diskussion auf comets-ml. LG Thomas |

Cbet 4464, ich habs vergessen, drunterzuschreiben. Hier der originale Text: . Wierzchos and M. Womack, University of South Florida, report on observations of CO and HCN in comet C/2016 R2 (cf. CBET 4318) with the Arizona Radio Observatory's 10-m Submillimeter Telescope at Mount Graham: "We have detected the CO J=2-1 rotational line at 230 GHz on Dec. 22 and 23 UT with a line intensity of TR* = 0.31 K with rms 0.05 K. The CO FWHM linewidth is about 0.7 km/s, and the line center is approximately 0.2 km/s blue-shifted from the ephemeris velocity. We also searched for the HCN J=3-2 rotational transition at 265 GHz and detected nothing down to a 1-sigma level of TR* = 0.013 K. Assuming a rotational temperature of 30 K and expansion velocity of 0.7 km/s, we calculate a production rate of Q(CO) approximately 4.7 x 10**28 molecules/s and a 3-sigma upper limit of Q(HCN) < 3.6 x 10**25 molecules/s at r = 2.9 AU and Delta = 2.1 AU. For comparison, this comet produced almost a third of the CO that comet C/1995 O1 (Hale-Bopp) did at the same heliocentric distance. This comet appears to be very CO-rich, and we estimate Q(CO)/Q(HCN) > 1300. Further observations are encouraged as the comet approaches perihelion in 2018 May, when it will reach r = 2.6 AU." |
