I've updated the LOWSPEC design so it can now accept the ALPY photometric slit or the OVIO slit plate. You can find the 3D printable STL files on the Thingiverse page. Cheers, Paul

Thanks Daniel! This was a personal project that got out of hand  .I've been active in spectroscopy for a while with a DADOS and more recently (two years ago) got interested in 3D printing. So I decided to combine the two. I’m using a Felix Pro 2 printer at the moment because I wanted a more professional printer. Nice bonus is that the company building these printers is situated only a 10 minute drive from my home town. So if there are technical issues, they can be quickly resolved. But you could also buy a much cheaper but still very good printer for less (e.g. CR-10). I’m printing mostly in ASA at the moment. 3D printing has it's limitations of course but that hasn’t stop me from trying. It’s just a lot of fun and it has learned me a lot. |
