Hello Joan, perfect work - and great details in your spectral profile. I am impressed, as the nova magnitude is about 10mag - so, what instruments have you used? Best wishes, Michael |

Hallo Michael, The New CMa 2018 is in the limits of the detectability of my instrumental. The telescope is a Meade SC16 and the spectrograph is an echelle that I built and has been in business for 2 years, its name is MUSSOL, (owl, in Catalan language). MUSSOL, the first era of direct injection, but its results were unstable. Then I transformed it into fiber optic injection and it works for two years without problems. The CCD is an ATIK 460EX, and I work with bining x2. Thus, the MUSSOL resolution is R = 9000. A bigger resolution would not bring much better growth and I would limit myself to reaching low stars.
