Hi Christoph Zitat: we have some news on this project! Our monitoring from February 2018 on leads to a first success. We got this message from Anna Aret: Dear colleagues, Michaela’s application for photmetric observations of rho Cas with BRITE satellites was successful. The BRITE observations will be executed in the period 7.8.2018 - 3.2.2019 at least once per night. Earth-based spectroscopy for the same period would be highly valuable. The star seems to be in a pre-outburst state. Can I ask what is the probability of a publication resulting from this? I contributed 6 months of observations to this similar Convento project in 2014 and as far as I am aware the data was never analysed. viewtopic.php?f=32&t=4163 Robin |

Hi Thomas, Last time about 2 years ago. He needed a grad student I think. Also as you can see from the thread, Jack Martin contributed almost 2000 spectra but has heard nothing. He mentions it every time we meet. I understand that sometimes things do not work out for various reasons but it is good to have feedback even if the data were not useful after all. Cheers Robin |

Hi Robin and Thomas! Robin, on your initial question I can say that there will be a paper. But for more informatian I asked the professionals  Additional Malin and I plan to do also some own work on the YHGs and hopefully it will result in a publication! Cheers Christoph |

Hi, I got an answer from Indrek: Concerning the usage of data and publishing of results - nobody can give 100% guarantee due to many different technical and subjective issues that happen in the real life. Presently, there is a strong will in Ondrejov and Tartu to go to the end with this investigation. To my mind, there is already a good start in these spectroscopic and photometric time series which Christoph & Co have provided so far. Let's hope for the best outcome! Hello Everybody, This looks interesting, I would like to join the campaign. I am currently involved in 2 long term campaigns, so telescope time is valuable and limited to projects whose results will be published in a paper.
