I apologize if this topic is not quite what we expect to see on these comet pages. What software have those comet imagers who use QHY 600/268 cameras or other similar cameras found to be the best for controlling and collecting comet images with those cameras? Your thoughts and suggestions are greatly appreciated as I try to upgrade my old computers, cameras, telescopes and software that I use for my comet hobby. Figuring out the right hardware combinations is rather straight forward, but the software to control the cameras is not an area that I know very well, an area where everyone's input and experience will be very much appreciated. hi mike,
i also use MaximDL (old version 6.13 works well to control both cameras)
- CDS5D with the Canon drivers
- ASI 6200MM works with the ASCOM interface (camera & filter wheel)
