images taken on Dec. 18 UT by ATLAS South Africa (M22), noting a condensed 13" coma and a straight 8" tail at position angle 310 deg. Prediscovery positions were reported on Dec. 13 UT. R. Weryk subsequently identified this comet with minor planet 2017 BQ100. |
