R. Weryk reports the discovery of a comet in four 45-second w-band survey
images taken by Pan-STARRS 1 (F51) on Jul. 28 UT, noting a slightly soft
appearance with respect to the field stars. Weryk confirmed the activity by
CFHT (T14) follow-up images on Jul. 29 UT, noting a condensed 1" coma and
a broad 5" tail at position angle 80 - 180 deg. Prediscovery positions were
reported back to Jun. 2023.
