Hi Georg,
I am sorry to admit that I know nothing about using MIDAS or its
OUTTAPE/FITS or OUTDISK/FITS formats, but if they are 1D FIT files (two
column amplitude vs. wavelength spectra data) then Maxim is unable to read
them, as it can only display 2D FIT files.
Cheers,
Bernard

Subject: [fg spektroskopie] Issues with FITS files created by MIDAS

I recently processed some FITS files created by MaximDL in ESO-MIDAS.
After converting the modifed data from the internal BDF format to FITS
again by using the OUTTAPE/FITS or OUTDISK/FITS format and trying to
read this files by MaximDL again, I got some error messages and MaximDL
can't open the processed files.
What's wrong?
.... or does this has already been discussed somewhere else in this
forum?
Georg.
