Erwin Schwab aus unserer Fachgruppe kann eine nächste Wiederentdeckung vermelden. Ausnahmsweise stelle ich deshlab de gesamte CBET-Nachricht ein:
Code:
COMET P/2019 E1 = P/2003 L1 (SCOTTI)
E. Schwab, Egelsbach, Germany, reports the recovery of comet P/2003 L1
(cf. IAUCs 8145, 8153) on CCD images obtained by D. Abreu with the 1.0-m f/4.4
reflector at the European Space Agency's Optical Ground Station at Tenerife,
Spain (astrometry tabulated below). The comet shows a faint tail extending
about 10" in p.a. 300 degrees in what is apparently a stacked image totalling
600 s of exposure time.

The indicated correction to the prediction by S. Nakano in the ICQ's 2019
Comet Handbook is Delta(T) = -0.17 day. The following linked orbital elements
by G. V. Williams, from 75 observations spanning 2002 Apr. 5-2019 Mar. 10
(mean residual 0".4), appear on MPEC 2019-E80.
